You require 2 peeled and coarsely chopped bananas, ground cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon, 3 cups water, 1 and ¼ cups of oats and ¼ teaspoon salt. To cook these, take a heavy saucepan and over high flame, boil water and salt. Mix in the cinnamon and oats. Lower heat and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring continuously until the oatmeal is cooked and reaches desired consistency. Remove from fire, mix in the chopped bananas and cover and leave for a further 5 minutes. Serve with maple syrup or light cream. This is a low cholesterol, low fat recipe.
